Easy Avocado Hair Conditioner for Super Moisturized Natural Hair

Made with easy to find ingredient straight from Mother Nature.

Looking for a simple and easy yet nourishing DIY hair conditioner? This is the perfect recipe for my kings and queens who want all things natural! Skip the access toxic chemicals found in over the counter conditioners and even SAVE YOUR COINS with this Easy Avocado Hair Conditioner. All ingredients are simple, easy to find, and probably already in our kitchen! Hello soft, shiny, and moisturized hair; NATURALLY!

Ingredients

  • 1 Ripe Avocado – Avocados are packed with vitamins A, C, D, E, and B6 to nourish the hair strands and add shine! They are also a fatty fruits which is perfect for moisturizing all hair types. This smooth and creamy ingredient softens the hair and tames frizz too!
  • 1/2 cup of Raw Honey – Honey is a natural humectant, meaning it draws in moisture from the environment. Long lasting moisturization paired with its ability to add shine makes honey a perfect addition to this hair conditioner!
  • 1 cup of Solid Extra Virgin Unrefined Coconut Oil (1/2 cup if liquid) – Coconut Oil carries benefits of conditioning, nourishing, and sealing moisture into the hair as well as treating dry scalp, removing dandruff, increasing shine, providing softness, and promoting hair growth!
  • 1/2 cup of Spring Water – Spring water is best used due to it being free from many chemicals and harder minerals making it more gentle on the hair.

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a blender (I use a blender with individual cups).
  2. Blend until a smooth and creamy texture is reached.
  3. Transfer to a glass container (or whatever container is easier for you to apply to your hair from.)
  4. Wash hair as usual.
  5. Apply the conditioner to WET & CLEAN hair (For thin/straight hair Reverse steps and shampoo after conditioning.)
  6. Be sure to cover the hair from root to ends.
  7. Twist up the hair and apply a plastic shower cap + a towel to lock in the moisture.
  8. Leave on for at least 10 minutes while finishing your shower routine.
  9. Detangle before or after thoroughly rinsing out the conditioner.
  10. Go about your normal hair routine and style as usual!
  11. Store extra conditioner in the fridge with a lid for up to a week!

Honey Hibiscus Hot Oil Treatment for Soft Silky Natural Hair

A combination of ingredients straight from Mother Nature for a luxurious experience.

Does your hair need a revival of shine, bounce, and that silky smooth feel without all the extra chemicals, dyes, and who know what? This Hot Oil Treatment is perfect for you! Made from ingredients found in the kitchen and outside; this is Mother Nature’s way of spoiling you with the luxurious and effective treatment your crown needs.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of Raw Honey – Honey is a natural humectant, meaning it draws in moisture from the environment. Long lasting moisturization paired with its ability to add shine makes honey a perfect addition to this hot oil treatment!
  • 1/2 cup of Extra Virgin Olive  – Olive oil brings the benefits of conditioning and nourishing the hair as well as sealing the hair strands to lock in all this MOISTURE and LOVE. It also deeply penetrates the hair making it very effective for softening the hair, strengthening the hair shaft, and providing nourishment to the scalp for hair growth!
  • 1/2 cup of Extra Virgin Unrefined Coconut Oil – Coconut Oil carries similar benefits of conditioning, nourishing, and sealing moisture into the hair as well as treating dry scalp, removing dandruff, increasing shine, providing softness, and promoting hair growth!
  • 1 Fresh Hibiscus Flower – Hibiscus is a great floral herb for the hair as it provides many nourishing properties that give the hair a silky soft texture, increase volume, add shine, treats frizz, and revives dull and dry hair back to life!

Instructions

  1. Create a double broiler by boiling 2 cups of water in a small pot then getting a large enough GLASS bowl to place on top of the pot.
  2. Allow the water to boil and the glass the heat up.
  3. Add both oils and honey into the glass bowl and allow it all to melt down while occasionally stirring the mixture. (During this step, be sure to check the temperature of the mixture with a finger so it does not get too hot)
  4. Once everything has melted and the mixture is nice and warm, remove the glass bowl and pour the mixture into a blender.
  5. Then, add your rinsed Hibiscus flower and blend until the mixture is completely smooth.
  6. One the mixture is warm and smooth, pour the mixture into a oil applicator bottle. BE SURE TO SHAKE THE MIXTURE WHEN NEEDED!
  7. Begin applying the warm oil on dirty dry hair, making sure to get the roots, ends, and to completely saturate the hair.
  8. Twist up the hair, apply a clear plastic cap, and a scarf to lock in the warmth and moisture!
  9. Go about your day as usual; completing errands, cleaning, or working.
  10. You can leave this Hot Oil Treatment in for at least 30 minutes, a few hours, or even over night.
  11. Then, thoroughly shampoo, condition, detangle, moisturize, and style the hair as usual!

Vanilla Rose Flax Seed Hair Gel for Edges, Slick Backs, and Defined Curls

A quick and easy herbal infused hair gel for the natural hair kings and queens

Leaves the crown of curls softly defined and the edges laid!

Whether your’e going for a soft, fluffy, and defined Wash & Go, a smooth slick back pony, or nicely swooped and laid edges, this DIY Flax Seed Gel is the perfect natural hair hack! It’s super quick and simple plus it’s made from natures pure ingredients; making it that much more fitting for the NATURALS!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 Cups of Spring water – Spring water is best used due to it being free from many chemicals and harder minerals making it more gentle on the hair.
  • 1/4 Cup of Whole Golden Flax Seeds – Flax Seeds are extremely beneficial for the hair as it increases the elasticity, prevents split ends, strengthens the hair strands, helps sooth dandruff and dry scalp, increases hair growth, adds shine, and helps define each curl/wave/coil!
  • 1/4 Cup of Organic Rose Petals – Roses are a beautiful herb to incorporate into DIY hair products due to HYDRATE and balance the hairs PH!
  • 1/4 Cup of Organic Rose Hips – Rose hips provide essential fatty acids, antioxidants, Vitamins, and an anti inflammatory effect, making it beneficial for a healthy scalp and increased hair growth!
  • 10 Drops of Rose Essential Oil – Rose Essential oil is packed with many nourishing vitamins similar to the rose petals providing an extra boost! Plus it creates a beautiful aroma for lovely smelling hair!
  • 6-8 Drops of Vanilla Essential Oil – Vanilla Essential oil is also packed with many vitamins but mainly used for the scent in this recipe!

Instructions

  1. In a small pot bring 1 1/2 cups of Spring Water to a simmer.
  2. Add 1/4 cup of Rose Petals and Rose Hips to the water and let the herbs infuse in the water while stirring for about 2 minutes.
  3. Add 1/4 cup of Flax Seeds to the mixtures and stir.
  4. Let the mixture simmer for another 5-10 minutes occasionally stirring.
  5. Use a fork to check the texture of the mixture. Once it has a runny texture and is no longer pure liquid, remove the pot from the stove.
  6. While the gel is still hot pour the mixture through a strainer into a separate bowl. (This step can also be done by waiting till the gel has cooled down and pouring the mixture into a cheesecloth or pair of tights and squeezing the gel out into a bowl)
  7. Wait till the gel has cooled down then proceed with adding the essential oils. (Feel free to use different essential oil for a different scent!)

Wash & Go

  1. WASH, CONDITION, and DETANGLE hair as usual.
  2. OPTIONAL Moisturize wet hair with a butter or cream (This gel can be used on its own depending on your hair porosity and texture).
  3. Rake the gel all throughout wet/damp hair, making sure to the include the ends!
  4. Let the hair air dry and/or diffuse hair until dry.
  5. Once dry use a light carrier oil such as: Almond, Olive, Coconut, or Argan Oil to break the gel cast. Carefully rubbing a small amount of oil between the hands and using prayer hands to smooth out the curls from root to ends.

This gel can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week and used to redefine curls, tame fly aways, lay edges, and even slick the hair back into that end of the week ponytail or bun!
